The M.D. of Wainwright is proud to offer two $1,000 bursary’s to rural students to support their pursuit of post secondary education!
The Agricultural Service Board (ASB) Bursary program is intended to provide financial support and incentive to students in order to pursue post secondary education in an Agricultural or Environmental related program.
The Municipal District of Wainwright Education Bursary program is intended to provide financial support and incentive to students in order to pursue post-secondary education at an accredited college, university or trade school.
Conditions/Eligibility Requirements for both bursary’s:
– The dollar value of the bursary is $1,000.
– The applicant must be a resident of the M.D. of Wainwright (rural or hamlet resident, Town and Village residents are not eligible to apply).
– The applicant must be accepted to or currently attending an accredited post-secondary institution.
– No applicant is eligible for more than one M.D. of Wainwright bursary in their academic career.
– Deadline for application is September 1st annually.
– Children of Municipal Councillors or staff are not eligible to apply.
– Incomplete applications will be disregarded.
– Successful bursary candidates will be contacted directly by M.D. of Wainwright administrative staff by December.
