On September 16th, 2022 the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) confirmed the presence of Avian Influenza in a commercial poultry flock in the M.D. of Wainwright.
The M.D. of Wainwright will continue providing updates for informational purposes for residents and producers as they become available. The M.D. of Wainwright is not otherwise directly involved in the process and any questions should be directed to the CFIA and their appointed spokespeople as the situation evolves.
